If you’re a fan of the Disney classic, A Goofy Movie, then you’ll love this new board game from Funko Games based on the movie. The game is family-friendly and a lot of fun, and it’s sure to provide hours of entertainment for players ages 7 and older… an emphasis on the “older” part for those like me who live for the nostalgia that the legendary Disney animated movie provides now in 2022.

In A Goofy Movie Game, you can relive all your favorite moments from the movie as you make your way via tabletop to the Powerline concert in Los Angeles. The game is challenging enough to keep things interesting, and although it has a bit of a learning curve initially, it’s not so difficult that kids will get frustrated. It’s just right for anyone who wants to have some nostalgic, goofy fun.

Gameplay is pretty straightforward with players using cards to score points as they move around the board. Every round consists of players revealing a card. The person with the highest number of each card color gets to collect the matching Scrapbook card, which features some of the movie’s most recognizable faces and places, such as Roxanne’s house, the Grand Canyon, and, of course, Bigfoot. Players take turns moving their characters around the board with the Powerline concert in L.A. being the final destination. Playable characters include Max, PJ, Roxanne, and Bobby, while the Goofy and Powerline figurines’ movements help drive the game forward.

Once Powerline reaches Los Angeles, the game comes to a close, with players adding up the points from their collected cards. The player with the most points is the winner, joining Powerline on stage for his final number (which, as we all know, is the iconic “I 2 I”).

A full game only takes about 30 minutes, which is great for families with young kids who might not have the attention span for something longer.

The game itself is well-made and looks just like the movie, which is sure to please fans. The cards are colorful and feature some of the movie’s most memorable moments, while the figurines are nicely detailed and look just like their on-screen counterparts. The game board is also nicely designed, making it easy to keep track of everyone’s progress.

In fact, the design might be my favorite part about A Goofy Movie Game. Waves of nostalgia crashed over me as I unboxed the game. The game board and visuals really make you feel like you’re “On The Open Road” with Max and his friends. The back of the game board – a concert poster for the Powerline show in L.A. – looks like a poster that I DEFINITELY would have had hanging on my wall in the 90s, while the inside of the box top features knickknacks and other nostalgic images from the movie. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into making this game, and it really shows. It’s the perfect game for anyone who wants to relive the magic of A Goofy Movie.

If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly game that will bring back all the feels, then I highly recommend checking out A Goofy Movie Game. It’s a great way to spend some quality time with friends or family, and it’s sure to please fans of the movie. So round up your nearest and dearest Disney fans and get ready for some goofy fun.

Pro-tip: If you really want to up the immersion factor, have the incredible soundtrack for A Goofy Movie playing in the background as you join Max and crew!
