… that is, if you enjoy island living with a bunch of death, decay, and plague-ridden rats.

In the latest trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem, we get a more intimate glimpse at the game’s story featuring Amicia and Hugo De Rune, amongst the cast of characters that will support (and hinder) them on their journey.

It’s clear from the trailer that the battle-hardened Amicia has had to grow up quickly in the face of adversity, while still remaining hopeful in trying to protect her younger brother at all costs. While it seems like they will find some respite on a mysterious island, it’s clear that not everything is as it seems… and that not everyone can be trusted.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been just over three years since A Plague Tale: Innocence was released. The brutal, yet beautiful tale of survival against all odds wowed critics and players alike, with its unique blend of stealth gameplay, horror elements, and a heart-wrenching story.

A Plague Tale: Requiem looks to build on the success of the first game, with a sequel that promises to be just as atmospheric and emotional as the original.

Quite honestly, the original game is very much burned into my mind and holds a place in the top-ten list of my all-time favorite games. A Plague Tale: Requiem is my most anticipated game of 2022 and I cannot wait to dive back into this beautifully tragic world when it releases on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch on October 18, 2022.
