If you’re looking for a spooky, suspenseful game to get you in the Halloween mood, look no further than the reveal trailer for Pacific Drive, from indie developer Ironwood Studios.

In this game, you’ll be driving through a surreal and anomaly-filled reimagining of the Pacific Northwest. With your car as your only companion, you’ll navigate your way through strange challenges as you make your way to the heart of the Olympic Exclusion Zone. Along the way, you’ll restore and upgrade your car from an abandoned garage that acts as your mobile home base.

The reveal trailer from September’s PlayStation State of Play is as captivating as it is unique, showing off just how much of a “run-first” survival focus Pacific Drive will have. To be honest, it doesn’t look like any other driving game out there — or horror game, for that matter.

The game is slated for release sometime next year for PS5 and PC. Other than that, there are a lot of unknowns. One thing we do know, though, is that we can’t wait to get behind the wheel of Pacific Drive in 2023.
