Cyberpunk 2077 Gets A Brand-New Trailer Celebrating Its Launch

via CD PROJEKT RED

We're one more sleep away from finally being able to play Cyberpunk 2077. It's been a long and arduous road for CD PROJEKT RED - one that continues to make waves (for better or for worse) throughout the gaming industry.

From concerns of the game‘s visuals being enough to put players who suffer from epilepsy at risk, to transgender representation, to the eye-rolling outcry of “true gamers” reacting to early reviews, it’s not necessarily surprising that Cyberpunk 2077’s launch has been marred by controversy. (Just ask Death Stranding how a AAA launch like this goes.)

No matter where you stand on the developer and the game itself, there's no denying that the release of Cyberpunk 2077 is a major one. To celebrate just that, CD PROJEKT RED has released a launch trailer that will likely be the final official footage we see before it unleashes upon the masses on December 10.

The trailer shows off the absolutely incredible-looking dystopian world that awaits players. We see glimpses of combat, stealth, driving, and lots and lots of characters, with a narrative that feels like the player is in going to be in complete control of their own destiny. All of it looks gorgeous - certainly worth the wait in dealing with multiple delays. (I'll take delay after delay if it means a non-buggy release in addition to the absence of developer crunch.)

The industry impact of Cyberpunk 2077's release is undeniable. It will be interesting to see what the response is from fans, rather than just the critics who received early access to the game.

No matter what, though... at least we'll always have Keanu Reeves. Isn't that really all that matters?
