What’s a list of spooky Halloween games without some kind of mention of bewitching potions? That won’t be happening at GamingPizza, especially with the release of Potionomics — a card-based management simulator from developer Voracious Games and publisher

XSEED Games, Marvelous USA, Inc.

Potionomics tasks players with owning and running a potion shop. Throughout the game, players will take on the role of Sylvia as she learns to brew potions, markets her skills to adventurers, and tries to establish herself as the go-to place in town for all things magical. Filled with lovable characters and set in a beautiful world, Potionomics offers something for everybody who has ever wanted their own potion shop.

Players will need to learn how to brew the best potions in town and then market their wares to adventurers visiting their shop. The game is played through a card-based system where players will seek to balance Sylvia’s stress levels while getting the most money they can for her items on offer. The game also features a vibrant cast of characters, each with their own colorful personality.

One of the key mechanics in the game is making sure that Sylvia doesn’t get too stressed out. If her stress levels get too high, she won’t be able to make as potent of potions. Therefore, it’s important to keep an eye on her stress levels and make sure they don’t get too high while negotiating. One way to do this is by befriending other local merchants who can help take some of the stress off of her shoulders.

Potionomics has been a labor of love for us for over the past six years and we’re very grateful to have partnered with XSEED Games, who shared our vision for this magical title,” stated Voracious Games Co-Founder, Aryo Darmawan. “We’re so excited to finally open the doors to Sylvia’s shop and teach players the finer points of potionomics!”

Potionomics is now available on PC via Steam, and is celebrating its launch with a 10%-off sale until October 24.
